Looking at Mindbody? Here's what we are

We're not going to build you a feature table showing we win. On the things a studio does every day — timetable, memberships, class packs, waitlists — Mindbody has twenty years of practice and does them well. So this page does the more useful thing: a straight summary of what Mindbody is for, then what Real Sports Bookings actually is, and you decide which one your business is.

Written August 2026 and reviewed quarterly. We don't publish other companies' prices or screenshots — check those with them directly. Mindbody is a trademark of its owner and we aren't affiliated with them.

The short version

  • On class management, it's a draw. Both run a timetable, memberships and packs properly.
  • Their reach is real. The Mindbody app and ClassPass bring in clients we can't. Listing is opt-in, so it's a channel you choose.
  • We're for venues that are more than a timetable — and for operators who want the price published and the payments in their own account.
Credit where it's due

What Mindbody is genuinely good at

If these are the things you need, it's a sound choice and we'd rather you knew that from us than found out later.

Two decades of studio workflow

Class timetables, instructor management, packs, retail, spa and salon appointments — refined over a very long time against a very large number of studios. The edge cases have mostly been found already.

A consumer audience

The Mindbody app and ClassPass can put you in front of people who've never heard of you and fill spots you couldn't fill yourself. Listing is opt-in, so it's a channel you choose rather than one you're placed in. We have nothing equivalent.

An established ecosystem

A long list of integrations, a large partner network and plenty of people who already know the software. If you're hiring a studio manager, there's a decent chance they've used it.

What we are

Five things we'd point at instead

None of them is "we have more class features". These are the reasons studios actually move.

A price you can read without a call

Free to start. $49 a month flat for Pro. No commission on your bookings, no setup fee, and month to month — cancel whenever and take your data. It's on the pricing page, and it stays the same number as you grow into it.

See the plans →

Software your team will actually open

One calendar, a short setup, and a front desk that picks it up in an afternoon. Most venues are live within a week. Powerful software nobody wants to use is how bookings end up back in a spreadsheet.

A booking page built around your studio

Your logo, colours and photography — linked from your site or embedded straight into it, both on every plan. Your own domain, customer log-in and your own iOS and Android apps sit on Custom.

How the booking page works →

Room for whatever else you sell

If your studio is only ever a timetable, this won't matter. If you also hire out the space, run one-to-ones, add a court, open a second site or sell a bundle across all of it — it's the same calendar, one customer record, one balance.

Gyms & studios →

An AI layer working your own data

Real Sports OS audits your online presence, finds the classes that aren't filling, works out who has quietly stopped coming and drafts the message. Nothing sends without you approving it. Starter includes two audit reports; the full suite is on Pro, inside the $49.

What it does with retention →

Payments into your own account

Your Stripe, Checkout.com or Paymob account. We never hold your money, so it settles on your provider's schedule and a refund is something you do rather than something you request. Paymob matters in the Gulf, where some platforms can't pay out locally.

How payments work →

Being straight about it

Where we'd tell you to stay put

A studio that moves for the wrong reason churns inside a year, which is worse for us than never signing you.

Stay

Your business is the timetable, and it works

One discipline, nothing to hire out, a team that knows the software, and an invoice you're comfortable with. There's no feature here that will change your week, and switching software is genuinely disruptive.

Stay

The consumer app is bringing you clients

If a meaningful share of your new clients arrive through the marketplace, that's worth paying for and we can't replace it. Come back to us when your classes are full of regulars who come for your instructors.

Move

You sell more than classes

Studio hire, one-to-ones, a court, a second site, a bundle across all of it. This is where a timetable-shaped system starts costing your team time every week.

Move

The price or the payments have become a problem

You can't predict next year's invoice, or a billing question needs someone else to resolve it. Both are structural, and both are things we've deliberately built the other way round.

FAQ

Questions studios ask

What does it cost?

Starter is free and covers 50 bookings a month. Pro is $49 a month, flat, covering 500 bookings and the full growth suite, with a 30-day free trial. We take no commission on your bookings and there is no setup fee, so the number does not change as you grow into it. Custom is quoted, and covers multiple branches, your own domain, customer log-in, branded apps and the AI booking assistant.

Are we tied into a contract?

No. We are month to month. Cancel whenever, export your customers and bookings, and there is no early-termination fee. Fixed annual terms are common in this category, so whoever you are looking at, read the term length, the notice period and the exit fee on the order form before you sign.

Can our members keep their class packs and memberships?

Yes. Memberships, class packs and prepaid balances all work here and renew automatically. Active memberships, remaining credits and future bookings are imported during onboarding, and we run the first renewal cycle in parallel with your old system before anything is switched off.

We only run classes. Is this still for us?

It can be, but be honest with yourself about why you are moving. If your timetable works and the invoice is a number you are happy with, staying is a perfectly good answer. The reasons studios move to us are usually the price being published and flat, the payments landing in their own account, and the growth layer — not a missing class feature.

Who should stay with Mindbody?

Anyone whose business is a class timetable and nothing else, whose team knows the software, and who is getting real value from the consumer app or ClassPass. That reach is genuine and we have nothing like it. The case for us starts when you sell more than classes, when the pricing stops being predictable, or when you want the payments in your own account.
